Get Training from Alustar

Alustar AS, in conjunction with its sister company NIP (Norwegian Industry Personell), offers courses and training for scaffolders, and we are also govermenet approved for scaffolding apprenticeships.

The industry is gradually evolving, increasing the compentence requirements of both scaffolders and scaffold users. We offer courses both at our location and at our customers.

Our scaffolding association SEF can in addition also give courses for instructors.

For more information contact us at alustar@alustar.no

We have the following courses:

  • Scaffold user course.
  • Course according to the Working Environment Act for Work at Height.
  • Fall arrest course.
  • Shrink Wrap course
  • Scaffold Design and Planning
  • We can also create bespoke courses for special interest groups.

Our Courses

USER COURSE

The instructor course is intended to upgrade existing scaffolders who either works as a trainer themselves, or perform work as a scaffold inspector.

The course gives a solid understanding of current regulations and industry standards concerning scaffolding work; and an introduction to verification of scaffolding windloads.

SEF INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

The instructor course is intended to upgrade existing scaffolders who either works as a trainer themselves, or perform work as a scaffold inspector.

The course gives a solid understanding of current regulations and industry standards concerning scaffolding work; and an introduction to verification of scaffolding windloads.

SCAFFOLDER TRAINING

The scaffolders training follow the Norwegian regulations for work at height, and focuses on how to safely erect and dismantle a scaffold.

The training is divided into 3 heights: 2-5 meters, 2-9 meters and above 9 meters (or nonstandard scaffold).

The scaffolder is trainined on the planning of work, on the management of change to the scaffold, and on safety as the work progresses. An overview of fall arrests and the danger of falling objects is given, and training in visual inspection of scaffold components.

SHRINK WRAP COURSE

Shrink wrap is rapidly becoming a preferred way of preserving equipment and work locations.

The training focuses on how to correctly apply and tighten the wraps, and the possibilities the technique and product spectrum gives. A special focus is given on transitions and making hatches.

SCAFFOLDING DESIGN AND PLANNING

The course for design and planning of scaffolding also includes strength calculations.

Typical challenges within industrial scaffolding is presented and solved using suspeneded scaffolding, lift rigging and cantilevered scaffolds. Component capacities and calculation alternatives are presented.

Scaffold drawing (2D/3D or BIM) and methods for developing picking lists and how to automate this is shown.

The target audience is engineers who are responsible for scaffold safety or planning scaffold access.
