Since 2022, Alustar has been a proud sponsor of the Restauration, a reconstruction of the vessel that in 1825 carried the first Norwegian emigrants from Stavanger to America. Now, Alustar is extending its commitment with a new two-year agreement to support the continued work on the ship.

Alustar has participated in several sailings with the Restauration in the local area, providing both employees and partners with unique and memorable experiences. It is rewarding to contribute to projects that preserve Norwegian and local cultural heritage.

2025 will be a historic year for Stavanger. On July 4th, the Restauration will embark on a voyage from Stavanger to New York to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the first Norwegian emigration. At the same time, the city and Stavanger Cathedral will celebrate their 900th anniversary. Since 2014, Alustar has been a key contributor to the efforts to complete the cathedral’s restoration in time for this significant occasion.

Through its commitment to both the Restauration and the Cathedral, Alustar demonstrates a strong dedication to preserving and celebrating Norwegian history and cultural heritage.
